外国人を対象とした１１０番を促進する研修会

一昨日は、船橋東警察署にて外国人を対象とした１１０番を促進する研修会で、広報をさせていただきました。

私も１１０番の交換手の方と、実際に通報した時と同様のやり取りで、英語でやらせていただきました。日本に住む外国人や日本に旅行に来る外国人は年々、大変増えていますが、やはり事件や事故に巻き込まれることもあるかもしれません。
その際には、日本人と同様、１１０番に即座に電話をかけてください。
１１０番すれば、交換手の方が判断し、通訳を交え外国語で会話ができるようつないでくれます。事件、事故にあった際には、できるだけ早く通報をして頂きたいと思います。

I participated in an event at Higashi-Funabashi Police Station for non-Japanese living in Japan, which was a presentation about how to call the police in Japan.

I was part of a demonstration, where I called the call center and talked to the police, demonstrating how an interpreter is used to communicate. The police station hopes more non-Japanese residents will call the police when something happens, and not be afraid or nervous that they won’t be able to communicate.

 Using interpreters, they are aiming to make the services more accessible to all people.
